Sally is a performance designer and community artist based in Essex and London. Since graduating with a BA(Hons) in Theatre Design from Rose Bruford College of Theatre and Performance she has worked with organisations including the Gate Theatre, National Youth Theatre and Bread & Roses Theatre.
Sally also creates environments and decoration for festivals and events. She has worked with companies including Wild Rumpus and Oblique Arts and curated her own installations.
In her community practice, Sally facilitates creativity and conversation. Solo work includes community installations SIDES and BUILDING UTOPIA, both at Eastgate Gallery, Harlow. Sally has also designed for a range of youth and community theatre companies, involving participants in the creative process at London Bubble, the Redbridge Drama Centre, The Space and Lewisham Youth Theatre among others. She also delivers talks and workshops in schools, Deaf Clubs, care homes and other community settings.
Sally is cofounder of new company Matipo Arts CIC. She has a particular interest in new stories, weird creations, playfulness, and the power of people!
