A transformation has taken place.....

The area in the stable block which had been a model shop for more than thirty years has been refurbished to provide space
for a variety of arts activities. The old model shop might be remembered as a poky cubicle choc-a-bloc with things.
Not any more; the overall floor space is 9.3 m x 6.8 m and the ceiling in what was the coach house rises to 3.4 m.
The new Project Space is large, bright and airy.

Here is an opportunity for many different functions.
For instance:

*An individual artist may use the space to execute a special commission.
*A photographer might need an uncluttered area with good light for a particular shoot.
*The Project Space is ideal for art groups who need a meeting place or somewhere to practice painting or craft work.
*A number of classes are planned including sculpture, painting and life drawing by artists who have skill
in teaching as well as in their vocation.
*Lectures on various art topics are being planned.
*Considering the idyllic environment of Parndon Mill within easy reach of shops and the station it would be
a delightful place for a group of artists to run a Summer School.

 

The Project Space is available for hire by the session, morning, afternoon or evening for £50 which will include electricity
for heating and lighting. Basic equipment - tables, chairs, easels etc and facilities for laptop presentations are provided.
Regular users may also rent cupboard space at a small extra
charge.
